Although these students' stereotypical notions of women may have derived primarily from the Hispanic, it should not be dismissed and condemned by student counselors. Rather, with the knowledge of the cultural expectations of Hispanic American girls, student counselors can try to help these students by working within their cultural realms. Essentially, by adopting a respectful attitude towards the Hispanic culture, student counselors will be more likely to win the trust and respect of these students.
