There are many systems of theory of psychology which can help us get a better picture of the family abuse problems which exist. Every theory gives us a different look at a given abuse. There are many professionals working on the different types of abuse or some are working on the same exact issues of maltreatment.
As I read Chapter One I can understand that there are connections between different "forms" of abuse and with an understanding of these connections we can say that abuse victims could become abusers themselves. In my opinion the most important task of professionals is to understand what is behind abuse because although there is some understanding, there is more work to be done.
