Le Cuyer notes that computerization has led to closer relationships between Gehry's office and contractors, suppliers and subcontractors. Because computer documentation is less laborious and highly accurate, identical database specifications can go to all the participants at a site. Fewer intermediaries are needed, hopefully reducing both costs and errors. However, as Le Cuyer emphasizes, "achievable tolerances for both fabrication and erection which are inherent in the materials used
remain largely unchanged" (LeCuyer, 1995, p.78).
