Object Oriented Programming Languages

by providing methods for exchanging messages. The languages, teamed with new standards, are making objects the basis of many new concepts and theories.

The authors of these papers, and the editors seem to see a fine future in the modular structure's concept of easing the pressures of adding code to existing programs. Using these OO languages also can simplify tracking operations handled by specific parts of a program, and reducing the chance of errors and unintended consequences. The result: shorter development times, improved software quality, and modular and reusable software.
