Analysis of Final Sequence of Coppolla's Dracula

f D's chest. A lights begins to glow on the top of his head, and he is transformed from the hideous, slimy, bloody creature to the younger, handsome D of the film's opening sequence. Once the dissolve is complete, the glowing heavenly light fades, leaving him transformed.

Shot (10) 3 secs.: Same as shot 4. M reacts to the change, happy to see him restored by still troubled.

Shot (11) 4 secs.: Same as shot 9. D asks M to give him peace.

Shot (12) 7 secs.: Same as shot 4. M seems to understand what she must do. The camera follows her as she sits back slightly on her heels and focuses on the sword hilt. She grasps the hilt.

Shot (13) 1 sec.: ECU of the elaborately carved sword blade
