These later participants may have felt some pressure to contribute $20 also, but there did not appear to be resistance at this level.
We met at my home on Saturday, January 18, where everyone contributed their $20 and agreed that sandwiches would be the best option. I led the discussion by asking what the group thought we should do with the money, and then let the group members suggest ideas and discuss the alternatives. Sandwiches quickly became the most popular choice because they are easy to transport, they do not have to be heated before they can be eaten, and because they can be individually packaged. Id
