History of the Popes

addresses made by Karl Marx to the members of the original Communist International on the occasion of the FrancoPrussian War and the rising and crushing of the Commune. These are introduced by an essay on the Paris rising written by Frederick Engels twenty years later, and followed by a series of essays by V. I. Lenin, written in the wake of the first abortive Russian Revolution of 1905. (The current edition also has a final essay by one Nikita Federovsky, evidently of recent date.)
