There is sufficient support available for this finding in that Renders, et al (2001) explored 41 separate studies consisting of controlled trials that evaluated the effectiveness of educational interventions targeting health care professionals rather than focusing on patients. Underpinning this finding is the recognition that the educational interventions provided by nurses and other primary health caregivers are only as comprehensive and effective as the knowledge and skill levels of caregivers themselves.
