ôSome people believe that King Arthur is so inextricably tied up in Celtic Mythology that he must, in origin, have been, not a man at all, but a Godà.Arthur in his earliest form appears almost entirely mythical. In the medieval period, ArthurÆs virtues are the core of what are called the French romances, and in the hands of the monks, these became the tales of the great Christian knight who began to embody the highest ideals of medieval Christianity (ôArthurian Legendsö).
