Chaudran (2008) further describes these levels of change and notes that at the first level, the organization begins with only a few assumptions about what is going on and what needs to happen. Thus, the business must generate scenarios of the future and define systems involved in the new. When the business defines their core competencies, it must define the mission and use a SWOT analysis, and then define measures, goals, and strategies. After this point, the organization must make structural changes and this includes a focus on major changes to everyday activities.
