He also had "an exact recollection of many places, some of them quite obscure," including Bethabara mentioned in John 1:28, Galilee in John 1:43 and many other places, Bethsaida as noted in John 1:44, Cana of Galilee in John 2:1 and elsewhere, Capernaum in John 2:12 and others, Aenon near Salim in John 3:23, Sychar in John 4:5, Mount Gerizim in John 4:20-21, and many others ("External Evidence").
