Anger, Aggression, and Impulse Control in the Bible

Ephesians 4:26-27: Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath. Neither give place to the devil. Luke 7:23: And blessed (happy-with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, apart from outward conditions-and to be envied) is he who takes no offense in Me and who is not hurt or resentful or annoyed or repelled or made to stumble [whatever may occur] (Amplified).

Anger, aggression, and impulse control are dealt with in the Bible, and even among Jesus' followers, there were problems with these issues. Anger in the Bible is viewed as a lethal emotion that invites the destructive activity of the enemy in the believer's life, and thus when the Bible admonishes in Ephesians 4:26 not to let the sun go down on one's anger, it adds "neither give place to the devil" (KJV).
