What is God? The Nature of God

n Jesus to the Cross to die in our place. The sight of Jesus hanging on the Cross, whether in paintings or just in my mind's eye, never fails to move me, because I know that He suffered horrifically and that with no sin of His own, all that He suffered was on account of my sins. Someone had to pay the price for those sins, and He willingly did it for you and for me. Understanding that Jesus did this for me to bring me into right relationship with God was what convinced me to receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

I know you would like to know more about how I view God in terms of my theology, so I'll start by explaining that I believe He exists as the Trinity; in other words, He is a three-part being comprised of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is a troublesome concept for some people, but I just think of it as one spirit-the Spirit of God-that manifests in the form of three different people.
