He cannot realize his full potential as a businessman at present, and must strive for other goals: i.e. getting well again, and making lifestyle changes to avoid more health problems in the future.

2. The patient needs to trust that his needs will be met by the healthcare workers responsible for his care (Beard and Hissam, 2004). He needs to take control of his life and make lifestyle changes necessary to avoid future health problems due to stress. He needs to initiate activities and gain some direction towards getting well, which will reduce his anxiety. The patient needs to learn what brought him to the point he is at now, and learn how to avoid it again in the future. He needs to recognize who and what he is, accept his position, but make some changes so that he can continue without the factors that brought him to the MI. He needs to relate to those who are trying to help him and not withdraw from them. He has to accept what they are offering in the way of help. He cannot let himself stagnate in the state he is in: he must move on and grow, and start a new kind of life for himself which is free of stress and pressure. He must accept his mortality and realize that he is not a superman but a mere mortal: he needs to slow down for a moment and reassess his life and his priorities. He has been highly successful, and can continue to be so, but perhaps in a different way.

5. Community-based nursing takes place where the clients live,

work, and play, i.e. a school, a work site, summer camp, American Indian Reservation, in the home, or at a migrant worker's camp (What is Community-Based, 2004).
