The thesis reviewed here did contain a justification section written in such a manner that it was possible for readers to discern what objectives were with some specificity. Indeed, this is the first point in the study were the reader was provided with a specific listing of the variables that were examined.
The thesis did not contain a section defining variables. In other words, there were no statements regarding the concepts key terms referred to (conceptual definitions), nor were there statements regarding the procedures used to measure key terms (operational definitions). Failure to include this section meant that the reader was provided with, at best, a highly conceptual understanding of the research and very little understanding of its actual implementation.
