The recommendations emanating from the proposed research study will be presented to the administration of the public school district in which the researcher is employed.
The issue underlying the proposed research study is the declining level of community involvement with the public school district in which the researcher is employed. The decline in the level of community involvement is being translated into declining public support for the school district, with a result that necessary funding for the district's public educational programs is being threatened.
The objective of the proposed research study will be to develop specific actions that, if implemented, will have a high probability of leading to increased parental participation in the PTA organizations in the public school district in which the researcher is employed.
