A minimum sample size of 30 firms was sought. The selection of the firms for the sample was based primarily on the availability of and access to the required data.
Student t-test procedures were employed to establish the statistical significance of changes in the dependent variables from the pre-employee ownership time point to the post-employee
ownership time point. Statistical significance was established at p<.05.
The pre-employee ownership net profit percent mean for the sample firms was 1.8 percent, while the post-employee ownership net profit mean for these firms was 4.8 percent.
