The results of the ANOVA found that the differences in the post test score means between the experimental and control groups were statistically significant at p<.002. As the post test score mean for the experimental group was higher than that for the control group, as indicated in Table 4 1, the hypothesis that elderly women receiving instruction concerning the relationship between osteoporosis and calcium would have greater knowledge
concerning this relationship than would women receiving no such instruction, by inference, was accepted.
