The results of the ANOVA found that the differences in the posttest score means between the experimental and control groups were statistically significant at p<.002. As the posttest score mean for the experimental group was higher than that for the control group, as indicated in Table 41, the hypothesis that elderly women receiving instruction concerning the relationship between osteoporosis and calcium would have greater knowledge
concerning this relationship than would women receiving no such instruction, by inference, was accepted.
