As such, this research will focus on the role principals can play in training middle managers to be effective problem solvers and communicators.

The most significant role played by problem solving is preventing recurrence of a problem. By adopting a step-by-step method to analyze complex problems, middle managers can validate that the real cause if eliminated and prevent recurrence. Principals must act as facilitators in introducing organization-wide quality improvement skills into the educational environment.
