One of the biggest reasons for failure of technology implementation is the relative invisibility of the process in many organizations. This type of implementation fails to include top-down management support and involvement of people at all levels of the organization that will be impacted by the new technologies. Many of the failures of technology implementation can be overcome by active top management support, clear implementation goals, and user involvement and training. Further, strategic technology life-cycle planning is imperative for successful implementation.
