To develop my skills in managing conflict.
To develop my skills in being assertive.
To develop my skills in working with diverse groups.
To discover whether or not for me management is a well-suited career.
To develop an understanding of the responsibilities and duties of management.
To develop an understanding of the demands of a practical work experience.
To network and develop relationships with my employer and other potential employers.
To develop skills related to my internship position that enhances my effectiveness and efficiency.
Gain valuable practical work experience that will enhance my resume and future management opportunities.
To apply MBA management concepts to challenges in the workplace.
To expand my learning of MBA management concepts by observing the outcomes of their interaction in a practical work setting.
To assess my MBA management learning and reflect on how future academic pursuits will enhance that learning.
To gain academic credit for a successful internship experience.
There are other goals I hoped to achieve during my internship experience, but the above goals are the most significant.
In order to make the most of my internship experience, I decided to prepare for my experience in several ways that I believed would enhance its outcomes. I prepared for my internship in the following ways:
