the greatest potential to achieve each of the objectives. This finding and conclusion confirms the original research expectations for this project.
Based on the findings of this study and the conclusions drawn from those findings, it was recommended that the senior management of the participating community bank establish an information technology assessment and implementation team. A further recommendation was that this team begin immediately to determine the exact needs and initiate negotiations to acquire new and appropriate information technology for the Consumer Loan Department. Lastly, it was recommended that the target date for the implementation of the new information technology in the Consumer Loan Department be not later than one-year from the receipt of these recommendations. Implementation of these recommendations will allow the Consumer Loan Department to increase business, reduce problems loans, increase market share and profitability, and avoid the development of technology-related problems in the future.
