All of these are real people who work in the US now. All of them were able to do the job they were working, yet someone higher up made a decision that because they did not fit in they should not get a better job or keep the one they had.

A lot of race misperceptions are enabled by the pictures we receive from media and advertisements. The media are quick to label those whom they report on and kids are quick to grab on to what they see in the media. But:

It is important for the media to report news in a responsible way and to put a wide variety of people in front of the public in order to fully represent the true fabric of America. In this way they are making it possible for young people to learn how to respond positively to people of other races, cultures and religions.
