The concept of a private language

For Wittgenstein, the issue is one of the meaning of sensations and how we express that meaning to others, and he thus begins by asking what we mean when we refer to a sensation. This is something we talk about every day, but do we know what it is we are discussing? More than this, how is the name of the sensation associated with the sensation itself?
