Location Scout Presentation

This report presents a location scout report for Scene Number 76, an interior restaurant scene located off of a plaza in Italy. The location chosen to film this interior scene is the restaurant known as "21 Oceanfront." The restaurant, as is evident on the attached description from the California Film Commission Cinema Scout (2003), is found in Orange County at 2100 West Ocean Front, Newport Beach, California, 92663. The interior of the restaurant, which is set in a coastal landscape, is described as an upscale tavern matching the period from 1930 through 1960.

The restaurant is located within the confines of a shopping mall. It can be entered at street level, through selected stores, via the mall, or on a walkway. It has beamed ceilings ranging in height from 8 to 12 feet, an exposed kitchen with brick windows, a long bar area with stools, and several dining rooms on multiple levels. The walls are wood paneled and exterior features include multiple stories, awnings, casement and floor to ceiling windows. Photographs of the interior and exterior of the facility are attached.
