Crucial to program objectives being reached was the development and implementation of a one-day leadership skills workshop and project focusing on allowing participants to observe administrators and faculty at work. These workshops were evaluated by all participants; further, the university teaching students were evaluated both by other students and their mentors.

Lynn (1994) states that to-date, ten university teaching students have worked with Cerritos teachers, of whom four have received part-time positions. In addition to the program, Cerritos is developing policy and procedure statements with plans to disseminate them throughout the entire California college and junior college system.
