Dartmouth College (2002), located in Hanover, New Hampshire, has an on-campus Department of Safety and Security which works in tandem with the Office of Residential Life and other campus units to provide training programs, crime prevention workshops, security surveys, and anti-theft identification program efforts. The Office of Safety and Security at Dartmouth was established with the intent of providing a mechanism for identifying safety issues on campus and providing programs targeting those issues.
Dartmouth College (2002) appears to focus its crime prevention and violence reduction efforts on education and training initiatives along with an anti-theft identification program (A-TIP). The Office of Safety and Security conducts workshops to address the issues and impact of violence in the workplace. The workshops focus on defining workplace violence and identifying the stages of violence. However, Dartmouth College (2002) does not publish its workplace violence prevention plan for public consumption. The college does publish an Annual Security Report.

Roadshows: Prevention "road shows" in the residence halls and encourages students to follow good safety practices such as locking doors, locking automobiles, registering bicycles, and engraving personal property.
