This section also includes an assessment of what was learned about the intergenerational succession process in family businesses, as what outstanding issues remain to be resolved. The final section of this report is a bibliographical list of (a) the articles reviewed and (b) other articles that are cited in the report.
Three peer-reviewed journal articles that deal with the issue of intergenerational succession in family businesses are reviewed and analyzed in this section of the report. The three articles are identified immediately following these introductory remarks to the "Analysis and Discussion". Then, the important factors reported in the articles that affect the success of intergenerational succession in family businesses that were identified in the review are defined. Lastly, the findings of the three articles in relation to each of the defined factors are analyzed and compared. Each of the defined factors is analyzed and compared in a separate discussion.
