Findings were that more than half of the participants reported that verbal intimidation was a serious problem and coaches teach or encourage players to use verbal and physical intimidation tactics.

áGoodwin,áKahan, Murray,áand Docheffá(2001) reported that even dodgeball encourages violence and it is questionable as to whether it should be included in physical education. A criticism of this game is that it eliminates children and children should not be made into targets, however, some enjoy this aspect of the game.
