Treatment of HIV/AIDS by the U.S. Health Care System

The objectives of any country's health care system with respect to effectively handling the problem of HIV/AIDS are twofold. These are: (a) to successfully prevent contraction of the HIV virus by the non-infected public; and (b) to prolong the lives of people who have already contracted HIV.
