However, there is some overlap between recreational and leisure activities, as a leisure activity might involve mental development through participation in a book club. Play typically involves unrestrained, fun interaction with things or others, such as playing a video game, playing charades, or other such activities. Work is generally a compulsive form of activity undertaken for profit or some other end. Work may or may not provide well-being, depending on the kind of work, work environment, and worker. For example, a painter may develop skills and be rewarded with fulfillment and well-being from paintings that also increase his profits, while a bricklayer may experience dullness, drudgery, and little well-being from his profit-oriented employment.
