Maricopa Manor has one full-time director with a background in elder care services as well as a management background. The director is responsible for hiring all of the other staff, and for the overall operation of the facility. The director works to obtain funding, is responsible for the marketing of the facility, and is the primary contact between the facility and the families of clients (when family members are available).
The facility also employs a full-time chef with a background in nutrition who is responsible for preparing meals in accordance with any special dietary requirements of the clients in residence at the time. Those clients who are do not have specific dietary restrictions are given a low-fat diet which meets the requirements of the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association in order to minimize the likelihood that clients will develop additional health problems due to diet.
